Perimeter Security

Parliament House Australia Perimeter SecuritySensol has developed proprietary sensor systems for monitoring of locations where security is of vital importance such as airports, energy and water infrastructure, military installations, harbour areas and border points.
Sensol's technology is distinguished by its use of novel signal processing techniques, low power acoustic and seismic design, military standard environmental design and robustness, and the use of spread spectrum, low power wireless communication systems. The system is multi-faceted comprising fence sensors, ground sensors and cameras all integrated via a central monitoring facility for situation awareness displays.

Sensol's sensor systems are a vital part of the security infrastructure at Australian Parliament House. For obvious reasons we are unable to provide details of the system. We can say that the system provides covert monitoring of intruders 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with 99.9% detection and negligible false alarms.

The system comprises underground seismic sensors connected in relays able to detect the movement of people or vehicles across the secure areas. The movement sends an alarm to the central security control system which can then respond appropriately. Sensol's system employs advanced software comprising algorithms able to distinguish between above ground movement and other noises such as from within Parliament House itself. The advanced nature of the underpinning software ensures a highly robust system able to be adapted to similar situations across Australia.

Sensol has developed a range of perimeter security products.
