Sensol has developed proprietary sensor systems for monitoring of locations where security is of vital importance such as airports, energy and water infrastructure, military installations, harbour areas and border points. Sensol’s technology is distinguished by its use of novel signal processing techniques, low power acoustic and seismic design, military standard environmental design and robustness, and the use of spread spectrum, low power wireless communication systems. The system is multi-faceted comprising fence sensors, ground sensors and cameras all integrated via a central monitoring facility for situation awareness displays. The system was developed with the assistance of a $2m grant from the Department of Defence and further funding is being sought to tailor the capabilities of the system for specific military operations overseas. Discussions are also currently underway with several commercial and government entities.
