Sensol has installed an underground seismic sensor security system at Parliament House in Canberra and is currently contracted to provide ongoing system maintenance. The system comprises underground seismic sensors connected in relays able to detect the movement of people or vehicles across the secure areas. The movement sends an alarm to the central security control system which can then respond appropriately. Sensol’s system employs advanced software comprising algorithms able to distinguish between above ground movement and other noises such as from within Parliament House itself. The advanced nature of the underpinning software ensures a highly robust system able to be adapted to similar situations across Australia.
